24 Oct 2007 - 17:33: Herts County Council win EFA Award
Congratulations to Herts County Council who have won this year’s Employers Forum on Age award for best public sector organisation.
The EFA introduced this annual awards programme to mark the first anniversary of the Age Regulations. The ceremony, held at BAFTA on the 2nd October 2007, highlighted new ways in which employers are tackling age discrimination in the workplace.
The EFA judges selected winners not just for the success of the policy submitted, but also on the potential to inspire others. EFA awards were then presented to eight outstanding organisations.
As part of their commitment to tackling age discrimination in the workplace, Herts County Council provide their staff with a PPC EAP (know to employees as “Carewell”). PPC’s EAP service focuses on supporting employees throughout the different stages of life - assisting them to plan and prepare for forthcoming milestones, such as pregnancy, role change and retirement.
